The Challenge
Bush Heritage Australia is a non profit organisation with a highly active communications strategy, but their website consisted of static HTML pages and offered no value to their business.
At the same time as launching a strategy to re-engineer the website with e-commerce, e-giving, and multimedia tools, BHA (then called Australian Bush Heritage Fund) had undertaken a complete re-development of their brand image.
The Solution
DDSN offered a full service website design and development package that integrated digital strategy reviews, online brand development, e-commerce functions, user centred design exercises, and high end web hosting.
- Digital strategy
- Graphic design / brand development including focus groups
- Information architecture including card sorting
- Website development
- E-commerce & campaign management tools
- Content management and email campaigns - cm3 Acora CMS
- Website hosting
- Business analytics & review + continual improvement
- Maintenance plan
- Writing for the Web workshop
The Result
The BHA website generates hundreds of thousands of dollars per year in direct revenue collection (donations, sponsorships, and e-gifts), where it generated no income at all before the re-development. Online campaigns are refreshed quarterly (to align with the BHA organisation-wide communications plan) as landing points for BHA's customer traffic generation schemes (online ads, search engines, and newsletters). Constant review of web analytics and key performance indicators assures continual improvement of online communications.
