A comprehensive information portal and richly featured network of community support websites for Australia's most prominent anti-cancer council.
The Challenge
The CCV website had grown organically over time, and consisted of hundreds of pages of useful but awkwardly organised pages of content. Although built using a content management system, the site was very static in nature.
The task was to update the website with a new design, review its content, and install a technology platform that would support a diverse range of communications requirements that were like to develop and change moving forward. E-commerce functions (online donations, and the Cancer Council shop) were to be considered as key functions of the site. To top off the challenge, the project timeline was an ambitious one!
The Solution
The site was visually designed and content created by Edit Media, with project management, the content management system, site construction, and on-going support/maintenance by DDSN. The successful partnership saw a large re-development project brought in on time and on budget.
The Cancer Council Victoria website uses a wide range of cm3 Acora CMS modules to provide a rich set of customer services. Notably, the shopping cart and donations e-commerce system processes online payments and provides specialised integration with CCV's external financial system and the iMIS membership database.
