Our operations are virtual but engaged with our team working remotely up and down the eastern seaboard of Australia meeting daily for WIP meetings and interacting constantly throughout the day. Our directors are two senior highly experienced individuals who are passionate about digital and achieving amazing outcomes for our clients. Our office is in South Melbourne in an inspiring coworking space for quarterly face to face workshop days or regular coworking (for locals) and it is well connected to public transport.

Position Overview

We are looking to bring in a person at an entry level. Someone to train up into our existing systems and processes who wants a career helping to us deliver the best websites, mobile apps and digital resources in the country. There is a lot listed, you will build knowledge and specialise over time. Features of the role:

We have 3 technology stacks

  1. A large part of your work will involve supporting the hosting, Devops and CI/CD process for with DDSN's advanced digital experience platform - Acora ( http://www.acoracms.com). The technology stack for Acora is currently built on ASP.net .Net forms will very soon be moving to .Net Core MVC. Acora Mobile apps are built on the Ionic framework. Acora has a very rich frontend called Leaping Llamas (https://ddsn.com/leaping-llamas) which we are developing to be CMS/DXP system agnostic.
  2. Another major part of you work will be supporting the CI/CD process for Kentico DXP ( https://www.kentico.com). This is .Net Core v8 MVC also with the Leaping Llamas framework.
  3. DDSN also hosts open-source software on self managed windows servers. You will be responsible for the installation and operations for this software such as – WordPress CMS, Matomo Analytics, RocketChat, SuiteCRM

The main tasks in this role include:

  • Working with our senior engineers to test, understand, verify quality and commit code to SVN
  • Working in an agile environment with our project and account managers to upgrade, test, verify upgrades to websites and apps through a managed upgrade process
  • Installing new instances of any of the CMS, DXP or software into our hosting environment ready for a new project.
  • Rolling developed code forwards from development , through release, staging and finally into production environment running a detailed QC processes - working hand in hand with both automated and human testers
  • We monitor and support 24/7 and there may be some after hours support during peak periods or as holiday cover.

About You

This role would suit aspiring CI/CD managers, or DevOps engineers with the desire to create outstanding contribute to our clients businesses, delivering client focused systems. You have a strong attention to detail – identifying issues and resolving problems in the code. You have the ability to follow company processes which have been developed and verified over many years. But at the same time have the capability to contribute to their enhancement and improvement over time. We operate on a champion challenger model. You learn the process, you work the process and then you can champion the change you want to see.

Required - Essential Criteria

This is an entry level position and as such we are open to anyone with the following qualification and personal qualities

  • 3 year Computer Science or equivalent degree from an accredited university

Advantageous Skills

  • Experience working with Microsoft hosting environments & Web server maintenance experience
  • Database skills (SQL Server, PostgreSQL, MySQL)

  • Experience working in .Net Core with MVC development methodologies
  • Understanding of Accessibility principles

Salary Range

$55 - $80,000 plus superannuation, depending on skills and experience.
