DDSN Interactive delivers Xperience by Kentico for universities, TAFEs and other multi-faculty institutions. This is the same global digital experience platform behind Trinity College's and The Gordon Tafe's award winning websites.
Built for institutional scale
Kentico is an enterprise digital experience platform that we recommend for large organisations undertaking serious digital marketing programs. Xperience by Kentico is especially suitable when the institution spans multiple faculties, brands or campuses, when marketing needs segmentation and AI personalisation as standard rather than as a custom build, or when a global product roadmap and enterprise certification matter more to your board than a purpose-built module set.
If you're weighing up platforms, our Acora vs Kentico comparison walks through both.
What we build
Content at scale, without the chaos
A centralised content hub with distributed authoring. Faculties and departments publish within a design system that keeps the university brand whole, with omnichannel publishing so one update reaches the website, apps and other channels at once.
Recruitment marketing that does the segmenting for you
Audience segmentation and AI-powered personalisation tailor content and messaging for prospective students, their parents, current students and alumni. In addition, campaign management and lead scoring are built in, not bolted on.
Admissions and enquiry funnels that don't drop people
Forms with field dependencies and rich email notifications, connected to your student management system and CRM, so an enquiry becomes an application without falling between systems.
Course and program data that lives in one place
API integration with your student management system e.g. TechOne, or whatever you run, so course information is entered once and published everywhere, with your database as the single source of truth rather than a second copy the website drifts out of sync with.
A platform that plays well with the rest of the institution
API-first integration with LMS and virtual classroom platforms for hybrid and online learning, single sign-on against your existing identity provider, and a unified analytics dashboard connecting content, campaigns and enrolment outcomes.
Proof: two institutions, two kinds of scale
Trinity College, University of Melbourne
DDSN has run Trinity's Kentico Xperience platform since 2015. During that time we've undertakne three platform migrations, two UX projects, three student portals and two visual redesigns. The 2024 redesign streamlined a 900+ page site, removing 100+ redundant pages without losing search rankings, reduced navigation from four layers to three while adding a sixth navigational area, and delivered personalised dashboards for each student cohort. The College reported an uptick in high-quality applications following launch. The site earned a Kentico Site of the Year (Education) Honourable Mention in 2024 and was an AWIA Education finalist in 2025.
The Gordon, TAFE
DDSN rebuilt The Gordon's course discovery around live data from its TechOne student management system, via API, eliminating duplicate course entry across 100+ nationally accredited qualifications and making TechOne the single source of truth with engaging marketing content interspersed with course data. Custom course-display widgets give the marketing team editorial control without risking data integrity, single sign-on ties the site to institutional identity, and a full URL mapping strategy protected existing search rankings through migration. The result: a 5.0 rating on Clutch, Kentico Site of the Month (February 2025), and a Kentico Site of the Year 2025 Honourable Mention in Education & Careers. "I highly recommend DDSN for anyone looking for a web development partner who genuinely invests in your success," says The Gordon's Customer Engagement Lead.
Kentico itself is used by institutions well beyond Australia — from NorQuest College's 19,500 students to sector bodies like the Elementary Teachers' Federation of Ontario — evidence that the platform holds up at a scale a single-college build was never meant to carry.
What your IT team will ask
Xperience by Kentico runs as single-tenant SaaS on Microsoft Azure, with complete data isolation, geo-redundant backups and your choice of Azure data-centre region — including Australia. It's ISO 27001 and SOC 2 Type II certified, GDPR-ready, with multi-factor authentication and Azure Key Vault securing credentials. Prefer to keep everything on DDSN's own Australian infrastructure instead? We also deliver Kentico on DDSN-managed private cloud hosting, security-hardened and penetration tested, with dev, staging and live environments included. Either way, support doesn't stop at launch — DDSN implementation, hypercare and continuous improvement, backed by Kentico's own global product support and documentation.
Common questions
Scale and shape. Acora is purpose-built for a single residential college's day-to-day life — meals, admissions, alumni mentoring — as ready modules. Kentico suits an institution with multiple faculties or campuses, deeper marketing automation needs, or a preference for a globally certified product with a large partner ecosystem behind it. See the full Acora vs Kentico comparison.
Your choice: single-tenant SaaS on Microsoft Azure in a data-centre region you select, including Australia, or DDSN-managed private cloud hosting entirely within Australian jurisdiction. Both are supported by DDSN end to end.
Yes. Kentico is API-first, and we connect it to student management systems, CRMs, LMS platforms and virtual classrooms as part of implementation — the platform fits around your systems rather than replacing them. At The Gordon, that meant live course data from TechOne feeding the website directly, so course information is never entered twice.
